众所周知， Google和Yahoo都提供在线翻译网服务，不过翻译的质量却有相当的差距。
分别翻译《我们的爱》部分歌词：
回忆里想起模糊的小时候，
云朵漂浮在蓝蓝的天空，
那时的你说要和我手牵手，
一起走到时间的尽头。
从此以后我都不敢抬头看，

显而易见，Yahoo翻译可读性更好，更接近原文。看来Google在翻译上还得下功夫。
不过Google翻译比起以前已经有不少的改进，希望再接再厉。

今天在Istef的blog看到“Goodbye Gtalkr”，心中难免有些难过，虽然我很少用到Gtalkr，但是它将众多常用功能巧妙结合在一起的创举，令我难以忘怀。
“Thank you for your interest in Gtalkr. Unfortunately, the Gtalkr instant messaging client is no longer available. The Gtalkr website has been taken down while we pursue new projects as Google employees. Thank you to everyone who tried out, regularly used, and supported Gtalkr.”

Gtalkr首页短短的公告宣告了Gtalkr服务的终结，也标志着Google成功收购Gtalkr 。

Google服务大军刚刚增加了一名新成员：Google Calendar(Beta)。这项代号CL2的免费日历服务整合了Gmail和短信通知，可以帮助用户快捷地增加事件和提醒、发送邀请、与朋友共享自己的日历。

Google Calendar可以直接从微软Outlook和雅虎Yahoo! Calendar中导入事件，同时支持在任何支持iCal和XML格式的设备上查看进度表。Gmail也可以识别E-mail中提及的事件并加入到Google Calendar中。

共享也是新服务的关键点之一。用户可以在自己的日历和公共日历中搜索新的事件，企业和组织甚至还可以在自己的网站上添加一个Google Calendar按钮来公布自己的事件信息。而且即使没有Gmail帐户的用户也可以接受邀请，从而在日历中直接发布公告。

为了保护隐私，用户可以设定哪些事件可以共享，而且Google保证说绝不会公开任何私人信息。

Google Calendar目前支持Windows、Mac OS X、Linux系统和IE6、Firefox浏览器，但在IE7预览版下还无法正常工作，对Safari浏览器的支持也正在开发中。
